Perry, Hally Bryan, papers, 1780-1960.

Correspondence, pictorial material, maps, literary productions, newspaper clippings, appointment calenders, programs, yearbooks, legal documents and motion picture film document the life of Hally Bryan Perry. The bulk of the material is correspondence, much of which reflects Perry's interest in Texas history, especially in relationship to her forebearers, as well as her participation in various educational, historical, artistic and intellectual organizations, and the early development of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas organization is well documented. Correspondents include Winnie Allen, Eugene C. Barker and Guy M. Bryan, Jr. A substantial amount of material concerns Austin family history, the transfer of the Austin Papers to the University of Texas, and the publication and distribution of E. C. Barker's Life of Stephen F. Austin. There is also a small amount of correspondence between Guy M/ Bryan and Rutherford B. Hayes, a classmate at Kenyon College and a lifelong friend.
